01 — Mechanical

Mechanical CNC repair

Most "the machine is making a noise" calls are mechanical, and most of them are cheaper to fix early. We diagnose from the symptom — taper wear, a finish problem, a repeatability drift, an ATC that mis-picks — rather than swapping parts until it clears.

  • Spindle removal, replacement and rebuild coordination; taper inspection and grinding referral
  • Ballscrew and linear guide replacement; bearing and support block work

02 — Electrical & Controls

Electrical and CNC control troubleshooting

Control work is where OEM training pays for itself. Alarm codes narrow the field; they rarely name the failure. We chase it to the actual component — drive, encoder, cable, I/O card, contactor or parameter — and document what we found.

03 — Geometry

Alignment, leveling and machine geometry

A machine that was accurate three years ago and isn't now usually has not broken — it has moved. Foundations settle, rigging shifts things, crashes take squareness out. Geometry work is measurable, documented and a fraction of what a scrap run costs.

Spindle & ballscrew replacement

Two of the biggest-ticket items on a machine, and two of the easiest to get wrong. We handle removal, replacement, alignment, break-in and the geometry verification afterward — and we will tell you when a rebuild makes more sense than a new unit.

  • Ballscrew replacement with preload set and pitch error re-comp

Installation & relocation

Buying used, moving a cell, or consolidating a shop? We run the machine side: pre-move documentation, disconnect, reinstall, level, power and air hookup, commissioning, geometry verification, runoff and operator handoff. You coordinate the riggers, or we can recommend some.

Emergency breakdown response

Down machines jump the queue. Call, describe the alarm and the model, and we will triage on the phone at no charge — sometimes that ends the call. When it doesn't, you get a straight answer on when someone can be there and what it will likely take.

04 — Metrology

Certification, calibration & documented accuracy

If your quality system requires evidence that a machine holds tolerance, a verbal "it looks good" does not survive an audit. We produce real measurement data with a report attached to it.

  • Ballbar circularity testing with printed report and interpretation
  • Laser positioning accuracy and repeatability data per axis

05 — Lifecycle

Rebuild & retrofit support

A well-built machine with worn ways and a dead control is often worth more rebuilt than replaced — and sometimes it isn't. The evaluation should come from someone with no machine to sell you.

  • Condition assessment and rebuild-vs-replace evaluation, in writing
  • Way, ballscrew and bearing wear measurement
  • Geometry recovery and re-leveling after major work
  • Machine-side support around a Fanuc or Siemens control retrofit
  • Commissioning, runoff and accuracy verification after a rebuild
  • Coordination with scraping, grinding and spindle rebuild specialists

06 — Moves

Machine moving, installation & startup

Rigging companies move iron very well. What they do not do is level it, connect it, commission it and prove it still holds tolerance afterward. That is the part we run.

1. Call or form

Machine make, model, control, alarm number and what changed. Photos and a short video of the noise help more than you'd think.

2. Free phone triage

We narrow it down before anyone bills a mile. If your maintenance tech can fix it today, we'll say so.

3. On-site diagnosis

Scheduled time window, arrival call, and a written quote before any major parts get ordered.

4. Repair & report

Fix, verify with real measurement where it applies, and leave a written report of findings and recommendations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you charge for phone diagnosis?

No. Describe the machine and the alarm and we will give you our honest read at no charge. Plenty of calls end there, and that is fine — it is how shops decide to call us the next time.

Do you carry parts?

We carry common consumables and wear items, and we source OEM and aftermarket parts as needed. For anything major you get a written quote before it is ordered.

Can you work with our in-house maintenance team?

Regularly. A lot of the best outcomes are a joint effort — your team knows the machine's history, we bring the factory training and the metrology. We are also happy to train your people on what to check first.

Do you do warranty work for OEMs or dealers?

We are independent, so factory warranty work generally runs through the selling dealer. We handle everything outside of that: post-warranty service, second opinions, PM programs and machines whose dealer support has gone quiet.
